Serenity…Courage…Wisdom

This beer is directly inspired by a moment that changed my life forever. I was never a huge fan of Belgian style beers in the US with some notable exceptions. I found examples overly fruit-forward, often with a sweet or caramelly finish that just put me off. Then I visited Belgium for the first time in 2013…and tasted my first Trappist Single or Patersbier at Abbey St. Sixtus of Westvleteren. From that moment on I became obsessed with brewing the beer I couldn’t and still can’t get where I live. It became my most award-winning beer and I don’t think I’ve ever let my supply run dry.
